    Dan:

Classic wren pose, soft colors, well exposed.

The perch is a bit massive for him. To reduce its impact, you could consider lowering its luminosity a bit.
Since you were shooting from a blind, was this a set up perch, or naturally occurring? If a set up, might consider several perches of different scale, depending on the species.

    What lens were you using?

    Cheers

    Randy

Thanks for your suggestions Randy. I shot this with my 400mm f/4.0. This was a naturally occurring perch. This little fella just hopped up in a tree near the blind and didn't have the courtesy to use the perches I had so thoughtfully provided for him. I guess you just take what nature gives you. :( Bringing down the luminosity is a good idea. I'll try it.

Excellent techs and a lovely pose. Looks a bit bright overall to me - here is a repost with some levels adjustment, a bit less brightness and slight boost in contrast. I haven't seen this bird in the wild so I hope I haven't overdone it. Applied it to the whole image as you can see. Also cropped a bit off the top.

Lovely capture and I like the repost Ofer. The detail, pose and eye contact are well done. I agree with Randy about the perch.

Ofer's repost works great for me. Lovely little fellow. I wish the perch would be thinner.

I agree the repost looks better the original was just to pale for me. On the perch sometimes you have to take what you can just cannot take the bird and repose like you would a portrait :D

Very nice image, and I think Ofer's repost is an improvement. Agree that the perch is a little big, but not much you could have done from the sound of things.
