    Default Great Egret flight silhouette

    Great egret.

40D. 400mm at f/5.6. iso 640. 1/640. exp. comp + 1 2/3. Some color temp, contrast and curves work in DPP. I did not want to push it too away from reality in PP.

    All C&C welcome and appreciated.

Nice flight angle to frame KD, would also be tempted to put the bird on the top right corner, just a suggestion, It looks good as it is too...

Why do you say that Kiran? I respect your compositions a lot...so would love to know. There is a lot to learn from folks like you. I cropped it this way because I wanted more room in front and top of the bird....in line with the direction it was flying.

nothing really in perticular Bhai, just felt there was a little extra space on top and the bird felt a bit centered.
Just felt this may look a bit better, just a personal opinion...

I think I would vote for the crop as it is for the reason that Kaustubh gave. Nice work.

Like the above discussion. Was wondering why, if you were going for a silhouette, you chose EC of +1 2/3? Seems to me that you would have gotten better sky color and a darker silhouette with a neutral exposure.

Doug...I was shooting something else and hence the f-stop and exp. comp settings. The egret came out of nowhere and I got a grab shot.
