    Default Northern Harrier --grey ghost

Male Northern Harrier --image created on Whidbey Island in Wa. state. He was actually stretching--not landing.
Very low light--overcast and rainy day.

Great Bonnie, I like this one better than the other, nice balancing position and colors look accurate in this one. just wish there was more separation between beak and body.

Beautiful shot. I like the wing pose, the perch and the clean background. The foreground vegetation works very well here.
I also like the one raised leg.

Nice pose, details and the dry sticks add well to the feel of the Frame..

I also like this one better than the other. Movement adds to the overall feel of the image. Color rendition looks good.

I agree with the Grey Ghost title....this bird evades me like the plague around here.

Like the pose and perch. while I like the soft light, I think a bit more contrast might help.
What if you cropped the bottom a bit and made more of a pano from this to loose some of the low OOF foreground plant material? OR...clone out the piece which comes really close to the tail.

Perhaps a slightly higher angle would have alleviated some of that?

I gotta say, this is a really fine shot. I'm not too bothered by the oof foreground stuff. I think it gives the feeling of being immersed in the environment. That's just me. I might be tempted to clone out the three white specks (?feather remnants) below the Harrier's left wing. I'm very envious...great image.

Sweet!! Wonderful pose captured. Stretching or not, nice timing. The band on his right leg is a bit of a distraction.

I really like this series of harrier images, Bonnie. Cool pose, good sharpness, exposure, and background. I like the mood created by the overcast light. Well done.
