Default Rufous-tailed Jacamar (Trinidad and Tobago)

Another of my favourites from Trinidad. I had seen these guys before in Costa Rican and Ecuador and always wanted to photograph them. It was awesome to get one at eye level in some late afternoon light. I LOVE tropical birding!!!

Beautiful colours and details on this bird Glenn and great head angle. Some people might comment on the OOF branches in the BG but I'd be pleased to have this one in my collection.

Wow, Glenn, this is quite a beauty. I didn't realize that they had such iridescence in their feathers! The look that this guy is giving you is quite nice. I'm glad you had such a successful visit to Trinidad/Tobago.

Beautiful detail and metallic color Glenn with very nice detail & exp. Only minor nit (and I do mean minor) is the vertical branches in BG.

Beautiful subject and nice eye contact.

The OOF background branches are distracting to my eyes.

I would likely tone the perch down a bit.

Bird is stunning - light, colours, sharpness, detail, pose - all superb! Agree with toning down the bright strips in the BG. Awesome shot as usual Glenn/David...:D

Glen, what I like most about this image is the strong composition. Great use of naturally intersecting lines. Keep 'em coming.
