I like the sharpness, eye contact, BG and the composition works, too. If it were mine, I might give it a bit more room top and right. Maybe a bit NR on the BG? I wish the hawks around here were as cooperative.

Hi Arash, going back to old files - I do it all the time. My second body is a 20D, and still gives me excellent images with my 24-105 lens. Great close up, and love the light, colours, and sharp detail .Killer BG.

Arash...close-up with 300mm. too good. Excellent sharpness and catchlight adds a lot. As Axel said, wishing the hawks allow me to get that close here.

Thanks guys, hawks usually prefer to keep their distance but sometimes it works if you stay very low and approach slowly :)

Well, Arash--it looks like a very nice image, but for some reason it will not download for me--stops after and inch or two?

    Hi Peter,
Good eyes! Yes this guy was perched on a post on a steep slop. BTW, 20D IQ was great, pixel sharpness was excellent just like the 5DMKII (same pixel size).

    Hawkman! :D

There are some awesome details. Even though the eye contact is not really there I can forgive you! ;)
Fabulous light and very cooperative by the look of it. Would you mind telling how much of a crop? Thanks.

Akos, it is about 40-50% of the original.
