    I had both vertical with 1/2 body and full body with no legs. I liked this one. Full frame as bird was very close no room for me to maneuver.
    Canon 40D, 400 f/5.6L
    1/640. f/7.1, ISO 320
    Cloudy WB, Today before 10:00am.

    Good-looking specimen and details. It does not happen very often to me that I wish for a shorter lens. :)

    I'm with Jim. When faced with this situation, think Panorama and take multiple images to stitch together...:)

    I thought about a shorter lens when I downloaded but not while the was happening. I will look and see if a stitch is possible. I think this may be a younger bird.:)
