    Default The Field Guide Pose

    Yet another Purple Finch. The other birds around the yard haven't been cooperating so I have focused on the Purple finches coming to sunflower seeds.

    Taken in semi-clear conditions while backlit. The clouds cleared away sooner than I would have preferred, so I more flash than I usually would.

    50D, 100-400 at 400
    1/250, f/8, ISO 400
    fill flash at -1

    Aidan, I like the curved perch, and good placement of the finch in the frame. Good flashwork, and overall nice and sharp. Well captured.
