This sweet little hen swam by while I was photographing pelicans last weekend. I have some shots of her boyfriend as well. I played around with the crop and decided to try something different.

Wow! Great bird, great colors, great sharpness, and I love the bow wake. I only wish that the bird were swimming a bit toward you rather than a bit away. (Even perfectly parallel would work better.) All in all, excellent!

Pretty lady, Danny! Love the colors, bow wave and reflection. I too, only wish for more towards me.
    Super nice!

Looks like this gal really has her motor running at high speed, Danny. I too like the bow wake. Good sharpness, detail, and low shooting angle. On my monitor, the whites on the throat look pretty bright - you might try toning them down a bit. :)

    Steve:

Striking bird, well captured. Birds angle is very close. I do agree with Steve about the breast whites, look a bit hot on my monitor.

Hope to see more of this beauty.

Lovely exposure, and lighting. I would also prefer to see the bird angled toward us. I might add a bit of space in front as well.

Sweet! Crop works fine for me. Just wish for some more details in the white on the throat
