    Well...I tried it out today under rather horrible lighting conditions and my initial impression is that it is not as good as the TC17EII as I've seen some stray reports of where folks claim it's better that the 17...although I will need to test it in much better light. I will note that it focused fine on static subjects...even in low light. I did not try pointing it at anything which moved.

    Subject was roughly 60 feet away and this is about 50% of a FF 12 MP file. I used the same exact sharpening routine I always use for web presentation.

    It is hard to compare with the small image here. I want to say it looks very good, something I would want to buy. The focus seems to be on the tree and the beak so the feathers to the left of the ears seem soft.

    Congrats on the new gear, Jim. I'll be interested in what you think of the 2.0... it sure has won some fans.

    The image as posted looks sharp, Jim. How about some 100% crop raw file of your test images?

    Jim sold the tc a few days after he bought it.
