    Default Birds on a Wire

Greetings. This image happens to be the first image in my catalog for Dec 09 so I keep seeing it... and it's grown on me. Curious what other's might think. ;) (maybe it's just familiarity breeding insanity).

    D3 200f/2VR @ f/2 1/6400 ISO200, HH, little pp other than wb and crop

    Cheers,

    -Michael-

Hi Michael - I do like the simplicity, however it is quite hard to see any detail in the birds at all.
F2 with that shutter speed??? Would have increased your DOF - nothing in the BG to wory about and might have helped with a little more detail on the birds.
Looking forward to seeing more :)

Hi Michael Agree with Lance !! Can Add I would place the birds in the lower third of the frame rather than in the middle !!

Image like this can work with birds a little bigger in frame and more of them !!! ... btw good image for effects changing the bg !!! ... nice lens !!!

It is simple and photography is all about feel. In this case, the exposure settings work but in theory a smaller aperture could be used since there was no BG to control and the shutter is so high. Putting objects in the center can be an issue as well but some of the birds are within the rule of thirds.

Kind of a different avian image - interesting but would like to see more detail in the birds IMO.

I like how one of the bird is way on the left while others are on the right, show the feeling of isolation. However I do like to see the bird bigger so we can make out more details.
