    Default Black-winged Stilt

I spent last week in Kimberley in the Northern Cape, photographing waterbirds from a hide at a dam. The pickings were a bit slim due to the abundance of standing water everywhere, which dispersed the birds. However, this stilt provided me with an opportunity.

Nice of him to show up,
Colors, light, exposure, pose, eye contact and sharpness are great.
    I like the drops.

Wonderful shot. I like the water drops. Great sharpness, light and colors. The blue is fantastic as is the calm water.

Chris, loved everything about it. Compositionally very strong. Loved the water droplets. Whites exposed perfectly.
