The light, look and blending into the environment makes this one a winner!

Great light! I also really like the OOF surrounding the leopard.

Great light, pose and setting. I might be tempted to remove the dark spot at the top left.

This one works very well. Look of the cat, the blending with the environment, even the bush behind the cat is not distracting but kind of frames him. Well done.

At least you did not get eaten later when you were visited at your tent.

Wow wow wow, I love this shot - fabulous isolation of the leopard with a beautifully blurred FG and BG, and great light to top it off. Having spent a lot of time in Africa, I don't think that this one was at all easy to get. Multo congrats!!!!!!!!

I wonder how this would look with some more virtual leg space...but it does look very very nice as posted. Very good composition and natural framing....this would be an awesome magazine spread!

Any leopard sighting is a treat, being able to photograph it is in any event unforgettable and being able to produce an image as beautiful as this is simply amazing!

WOW...Thank you all for such heart warming comments!......:):)

Axlel agree about spot on darkish green spot o n left.....my Ps is getting a little better will give ago.

Jasper....no more leg space i am afraid...but good point nonetheless will check the other shots of her in the series,,,,

Anita...unfortunately being Irish I have the gift of the gab....we could be hear all nite...hasten to say....it started off with me photographing a honeybadger..when the leopard walked in to the viewfinder ...i messed that up...total panic..i am still new to this genre.... this shot was just after the honeybadger sent her packing...i spent an hour following her...next time i saw her was dinner time....when i looked up and saw those steel blue eyes staring at me . 3 meters away..i knew i was on the menu.....i managed to stay calm...distracted her by banging some utensils together....then she shook her head and walked off....next morning she was sitting outside the tent again..guess i was the intruder not her ..after all.....

this is just short version ...the bits i left out included an american couple in a tent close by who were watching /photograhing her stalking me....but forgot to tell/warn me.....:confused::)

thank you all again for lovely comments:)

Very nice image. Nice composition. I don't mind the invisible legs.

I don't think that additional space for the legs would add anything to this image and would possibly detract from it. This is a fantastic composition as is with the leopard popping out so clearly from all the grass. A beautiful and amazing image!

I used the patch tool to remove the dark spot, it's just a matter of seconds.

Oh this is great. I long for a trip to Africa. I don't really see the need in this image, but with the BG / FG the way it is, it would be really simple to add some canvass for the virtual legs if you wanted. Again, I like it as is.

Funny story, Peter. I think she was probably doing some in-the-field research of the strange human species.....(-:
