Welcome Leandro :) A lovely image to start with, it must be wonderful to be photographing in such an exotic place. The perch is interesting and the bg is so smooth. Head turn, HT for short, has a big impact on a bird's image and this one has its head tilted just a little. However the birds don't always give us many opportunities to get a perfect shot and I like this one.

Lovely photo. Nice and sharp and I like the pose and the habitat. There is so much green in bg I cannot quite tell if bird has a bit of a green cast, although I think not. Looking forward to more. Dave

I like the perch and the raised feathers on the head. The eye looks sharp and feather detail is there. If mine I would crop to the left of the bird a tiny bit (taking off the one thorn) and keep a little more above the head.
Good shot at ISO640 with the 40D (I had that camera) and 1/100. A higher aperture may have allowed the tail to be more in focus.
    Love the expression.

Welcome Lean, glad you decided to join us here.
You know I loved this shot, great species, not and easy target as it keeps moving so fast all the time...
Great BG, light, detail and perch, a better body angle (more paralel to the sensor) would´ve gotten the whole body sharp but that is not something you could control... so.. Big congratulations!

Welcome to BPN Leandro! You've got good company in Ramon. I like the alert pose and the raised crest feathers. I like the perch but wish the other branch wasn't directly behind it. I would remove the tiny thorn visible at the top of the left edge of the frame. Look forward to more of your image posts.
