Captured at Cachuma Lake. There are currently two adult Bald Eagle residents and five juvi migrants at the lake. Got this one in flight from a boat. The clouds were added in PS with a cloud brush.

Hi Kerry - fine looking bird - On my screen looking a little contrasty and a little noisy under the wings in some spots.
    Any +EV??

    Hi Kerry,
I like the capture. You have a clear sharp eye and I like the under wing details...agree about the noise factor...looking forward to the next one...

Lance, at 1/800 in full sun and ISO 400 this was probably around one stop +EV. Too much going on to remember for sure, but it could probably have used another 1/3. Big crop too. Around here these guys don't let you get very close! ;)

Dynamic pose Kerry and I really like the wingspan. BG looks great with the clouds.

Hi Kerry When you dial one over at the sky works out to about even when pointing at grass !! With these bird you can afford a little more positive comp since it does not have an all white head !! Mighty fine !!!

composition and wing position are very nice, although there is no direct eye contact I like the pose and eagle's look towards the sky, you captured the best moment given the flight trajectory.Too bad Noise and digital artifacts are hurting the image quality and details.
