Grizzly bear cub photo was taken on the beach while its mother was digging for clams at Lake Clark National Park in Alaska. He really enjoyed himself and was not at all shy about being photographed. Photo is full frame with no cropping.

Camera Canon MarkII with Canon 500mm f/4 IS lens @ f/8, 1/1000, ISO 800. Some sharpening and levels in PS.

Really like the look the cub is giving you and the mud on the cub as well. Could use just a little more space around the cub.

I agree with Dan. I like the looks and the pose. I find it a bit tight for my taste. More space all around would be good. Some more sharpening would also strengthen this image. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful pose and looks like he was enjoying much. Adding canvas should not be a big problem here

Hi Louis One of the few times a little less focal length would have been better !!! Would keep it as is and enjoyed it, it is one fine image. Extending canvas is possible but might be complicated since there is no much mud to work with !!! Like it a lot !!!

What a time this little cub is having, and you have captured this very well Louis, the mud on it's coat tells the story. Adding a little canvas top and right won't be too hard.

Perfect exposure, especially compared to the moose in your latest post. Good eye contact. Not to tight for me. Love the mud and the playful look to the facial expression.
