    On a recent trip to Florida, I was able to photograph some wildly-colorful birds. But I found that this stark, nearly colorless, photo to be one of my favorites. I typically leave more room in front of the bird, but center framing just felt right here.

    I like the white on almost-white look here, Steve, and the yellow feet and lores add a nice splash of color. Nice pose and good sharpness. I think I might prefer a little more room in front, but it's a minor point. Well done.

    Lovely shot. Another vote for a bit more room in front and easy to do with that bg.

    This is a very beautiful image, Steve. I like the symmettry of the wings that are stretched all the way to the bottom and the the streamlined neck that gives a hint of aerodynamism combined with the fierce look from the eyes. I like the framing as is, but I think a pano crop would also do well here.
