Beautiful pose, cousin, and EXP right on. Big crop? Because plumage looks a little disconcerting?

Thanks cuz. You always keep me honest. I do have a bad habit of always pushing the enlargement. I will back it off until I get it tightened up. :D These birds are so beautiful to watch fly.

Where would you add the canvas for say about 30%?

repost is an improvement, very nice wing position it can take more delicate sharpening.

Much better. I think of you add a little black to the neutrals in Selective Color, the browns may look better.

Thanks for pushing me on the details. It is almost turning into a printable image. Using the magic wand - magic wands are good :p :D - I isolated the darker tones and used the selective neutral and H/S lightness along with a little C/B to bring back some detail. Looking at it here in this post it appears it could still use a little more over-all contrast.

Arash, I used a little Gausian in smart sharpen but was limited by how much noise it started to introduce, but it made a little improvment which it needed.

I have also included the original F/F un-edited RAW file so you can see what I was working with.

Thanks you guys for all your help.

This what I saw through the lens at 1020mm 1/4000. I just couldn't let it go, so I worked it.

I actually prefer the natural BG much better than plain blue sky. would just crop the above and sharpen up the bird.
