Default Mark IV ISO 400: Wood Duck

I did some picture taking with Gary Rouleau yesterday; thought I'd give the Mark IV a workout at ISO 400. Upon reviewing the image files, I'd say that it looks great at ISO 400. Minimal noise and fantastic detail right out of the camera. IQ is a significant step up from the 7D. Also the blacks seem to handle exposure boosting much better than the 7D. Here's a Wood Duck from the image series.

    Hi Doug...

Aside from the light looking a little harsh, exposure and detail look excellent.

    Very nice pose :)

Beautiful shot. Great details and sharpness. I think the wing pose is perfect here. And what a beautiful bird that is.

Fantastic image! Light looks fine to me and techs spot on. If anything a slightly lower shooting angle but this is awesome as is.

Like the details in the wings along with the drops of water on the breast. Brilliant colors.

Excellent Doug, the detail is amazing and the wing position is as good as it gets. very beautiful

BTW, do you get lots of noise in your 7D files at ISO 400 :D ?

Less noise to be sure, but the 7D is no slouch at 400. Overall IQ of the IV is much better than IQ of the 7D IMO.
