Galactic Cardinal

I was attempting to make the BG look like outer space using Topaz adjust, fractalius and several filters/layers in CS4 this is what resulted.

Beautiful serene image, Joel! I love how sharp the cardinal is compared to everything else. I think I'd consider trimming the leaves off of the right side edge. Everything else looks wonderful.

I love the textured BG. The only branch I don't like is the diagonal one. Nice pose and artistic impression. The colors and mood are lovely.

To get your effect, the "snow" should be removed from the branches and front items. You might also want to reduce the number if "snow flakes", in the BG, to better clarify the intent. Otherwise it is a very interesting effect.
