Continuing from Stashing the baby, this picture was taken a few frames later. As mentioned, if Mom, only turned her head, but one takes what you get. Cropping here was a bit awkward, as there was no time for framing, and a vertical crop will loose a lot of the environment.
D300S; 600f/4 + 1.4; ISO 800; 1/4000; -0,3 EV, 07h50; AP; Matrix. Slight cropping, sharpened leopard and cleaned BG noise.

Hi Callie, you managed to show a bit of the cub, well done. I like the space and enviromental aspect in this, and just the overall colours.

Hey Callie - So close but yet so far away!! Still an amazing opportunity to get a shot like this and these images make us all redouble our efforts to get out there and shoot every chance we get. Thanks for sharing this wonderful moment.

Just a memorable experience Callie, like the raised front & back paws. A head turn toward camera could possibly have been front cover of Nat Geo.:D

Lovely colours and the cub's face visible.... and for some reason the foot really does it for me. ( Do I have a too-bizarre fetish? Someone tell me they like the foot too, please!)

I agree it would benefit from a crop and your thoughts about the vertical option... although it would get you two pictures for the 'price' of one, which doesn't seem like a bad thing to me.

Liked all of it, Callie. Yip, like the foot too, Paul, its cute:). I would try to crop a tad off the top and quite a bit off the left side, just to see what it looks like.
