This alligator was waiting under the nesting birds for any falling prey. I captured this prehistoric creature with my Canon 1dMK IV on tripod at sunrise in the Everglades at Anhinga. ISO 1250, f/5.6, 1/400 sec, EF500mm f/4.0L IS USM +1.4TC, 910mm, Evaluative Metering, Auto Exposure, Auto WB, No Flash. High Key look added in PS. Comments Welcome.....

never a big fan of gator pics, but this one is pretty cool. only wished there were a little more canvas to the left hoping that the back would fall off into water. high key seems the order of the week with all the overcast we've had. i like it a lot!!

If you can't get the birds, there is always the gators. Like the high key and the look in this guy's eye. It was nice to see you today.
    Congrats

... can't believe you guys passed up the black beauties :)

One of the better gator images I've seen in a while Richard, just a little more room on the left !!!

Nice High Key Gator - like it, bit more space on the left for my tastes also.

Wonderful capture of this ancient critter. Repost helps the comp, and the high key puts it over the top. Nicely done!
