    Default Tricolored Heron in attack mode..



    Watched this little heron catch a dozen minnows in about a dozen minutes. Just a cool little heron.

    Nikon D90, 500mm AF-S (gen 1).
    F4
    ISO 400
    1/750s
    Cloudy/overcast day

    Slight increase in saturation, cropped

    Really like the pose of the heron. You caught it at the right moment and with the right expression on it's face. The crop is nice. If mine I would lighten the eye and desaturate a bit.

    Yep, agree that it needs de-sat'd but a great action image!

    Love the pose and the intense look on the face. Good feather details too. Agree about lighten the eye and desaturate a bit.
