    I caught this GBH prowling around a field in Bolsa Chica. I don't remember all the exif but I know it was taken at f/6.3 and @400mm with the 100-400. It was my lenses last shoot before I sold it and got the prime.

    Nice habitat with all the iittle flowers, Wish the weeds were not over his body and he could use some selective sharpening.
    How do you like the fixed lens versus the zoom?

    Nice pose and habitat. I find the OOF reed partially covering the tail a bit distracting.

    Thanks for the comments guys. Fabs, In response to the switching to the prime from the zoom, I am much happier now and I find that my images are consistently sharper and the focusing speed is just great. Looking back, this isn't a decision that I will regret :). I also found that his lens is so well balanced that I don't even need the IS. Im very happy with my new prime.
