Bridge and Capture1 NOT recognizing MkIV files?

Hello all,

I just got the Canon 1D MkIV and neither Adobe Bridge nor Capture1 are recognizing the files I have downloaded from the camera. I'm shooting RAW.

I've downloaded the latest available updates for both softwares, and still nothing. Do you know if these programs aren't just updated for this camera? Is it necessary to use Canon Photo Professional?

I don't know about Capture 1 but Bridge CS4 works, you need the most recent version of ACR, which is 5.6. CS3 does not support newer camera models such as 7D and 1D Mark IV.

Thank you Axel, I just didn't realize you had to restart Bridge for the update to be effective. Working OK now.

Thanks again. In case anyone is interested, I got a quick reply from Capture 1 support:

"As with every new camera that is released there is always a brief period where in it will not be supported by Capture One.
As the Mark IV just came out recently, we currently do not have support for it's RAW files.
Hopefully we will have support of this camera will be included in an update in the near future.

so i have cs4 on the way, due in here monday, looks like i'm good to go for my 50d and 7d.... is this correct?? Also my LR 2.6 does support the 7d with out any problems, and i shoot total raw, if that helps anyone.

Okay, i expereinced the same thing, corrected the problem with a fresh down load of ACR 5.6,
