    Young beaver near the confluence in Lamar Valley, Yellowstone. Not the best light but thought I would share as not everyone gets a look at these guys.
    D300, 80-400vr @400, 1/200, f8, iso1250

    Hi Todd I think the beaver looks great, difficult to do much with those animals, need the best of light for detail !! Like the behavior and placement in frame, showing a little extra environment !! Really good find !!!

    Hi Todd,
    It's been awhile since I've seen more than just the top of the head swimming away from me on one of these guys. I like the positioning of him sitting in the relatively still water of the pool and the way it contrast with the ripples of the flowing stream in front of him. Hard to get fur detail when they're wet but you did well here with the body. It looks like there was a bit of late day light still visible so I warmed it up a little and boosted the colors a bit to try and enhance it. Of course you were there. Let me know what you think, will remove upon request.
