Hint. Not a mouse. :)
Another rescued Australian resident. Around 4 grams in weight. A cute and SUPER fast little mammal that is also a carnivore.
So, what is it? Hopefully someone (other than me) will know. :)

Well.....my first thought was a mouse until you stated it wasn't. Thus I am clueless.....but I do love all the critters that you've been showing. Oh.....I loved the video of Stuart Little. You are a prince among the critters.
You are TOO kind Lana. :) I forgot to mention that this guy is still a baby. Will grow to around 20g as an adult and that is not my hand (for the record). :)
A melomys?

Long tailed Dunnart
No guesses, but it's so little and cute. You are so lucky to get to hold these tiny creatures.:)
No clue either but high on the cuteness list !!!
I have no idea, either, but those paws look tiny.

Harshadbhai incorrect (but noble attemtp bhai)
Sorry, not an easy one. But cute as few of you wonderful folks mentioned.
Ok Akos I'll take a stab at it. Is it an Antechinus?
God bless those little critters,
chris
A vole?

I don't care what it is but I want one :)
Chris you legend! It IS a Brown Antechinus. Well done mate. No prize though, I hope that is OK with ya. :) Good guess, how did you work it out?
Fabs, that's sweet. You'd never catch this little one if it got out of your hand. I have never seen a little animal dash as fast as an Antechinus. Cute of course, just speeding. :D
Thanks Akos,
I did the most logical thing that anyone who doesn't know beans about Australian critters would do. I did a Google search for Carnivorous Australian Mammals. Then I looked for one within that group that only grew to around 20-30g or so. So thanks for the clues.
God's light and love your way,
chris
Sweet sweet image and if you have any extras I want one to Akos. Many thanks for sharing all these great images.
I have no clue Akos, but a cute little thing...
