    one of my first tries at close-up. found this guy in weeds while looking for birds.
    D100 70-300mm at 300mm with 5T diopter. iso 250 1/350 at f/13. spot metered frog WB sunny. used tripod. cropped cs4 levels, curves, shadow highlights, hue saturation, smart sharpen.

    Nice finding, love the skin texture of this little guy and how the weed is warping around the subject. Might try a little lower shooting angle if possible and see what it's like.

    Like the tech setting, using the 5T sure gives some magnification !!! Image is sharp and well exposed, with these if possible I like using a diffuser for soft even light. Great suggestion for the low angle !! I like it a lot !!

    Hi Craig - like it - all too rare in my part of the woods.
    Agree with a lower angle if it had been possible.

    Lower angle is the only thing I can think of but maybe it was not possible. I love the green of the frog, and the habitat.

    Hi craig...Nice shot! I agree that a diffuser could improve the lighting so it doesn't look so contrasty but still very very good!

    Hi Craig,
    I like the capture...agree on the lower capture angle and perhaps a wee bit softer lighting...the color rendition and details are superb...good show...:cool:
