This Grey-headed Flying Fox keeps hanging in one of our many palm trees every night, feeding on the ripe fruits. They are such cute little critters and in season there is a colony nearby my place with over ten thousand + roosting FFs. A grand sight indeed.

30D, 300/4, ISO400, f/5.6, 1/800th, manual exp, 430EX at +2/3 EC, don't know why 1/800th, normally I drop it to 1/125th at night. But with the flash it doesn't probably matter anyway. 80% of FF.

Nice detail in that face Akos. I bet it's cool to see the colony. You should've posted this one flipped vertically (kinda funny looking) :).

Lighting well handled Akos, we have a few of these guys around as well. And often smell the colony before hearing & sighting.:D

Hey Bro, great flashwork to bring out good sharp detail. Would love to see a bunch of them together.

This is great Akos! Love the way is is just hanging there, super fine detail, coppery hair around the neck and catch lights in the eyes. Do these bats feed on fruit or insects?:)
