    Default She needs a name

We purchased this little filly last week and haven't come up with a name yet. My wife is going to kill me if I keep calling the horse Bird Brain. :)

    How about Athena?
    She is a beauty!

According to Wikipedia, Athena is the goddess of wisdom, war, strategy, industry, justice and skill in Greek mythology.

My suggestions off the top of my head would be Blaze, Blazer or GT. Reason being that the white marking is (I think) called a blaze, or GT for the GT stripe on the nose. :D

But gosh, what a cutie pie. And no, I'd kick you myself if you called a horse bird-brain. :D

A good name but I've already used it. That was the name of my Shetland Sheepdog when I was a kid so the name has been officially retired.

But she has a bird on her forehead! ;)

She sure does but that doesn't make it right to call her that! She's far too pretty! I vote to call her Lucy after Lucille Ball because they both have flaming red hair and they both are sure to make you smile when you see them. :D;):D

LOL, This is really getting funny! Her mother's name is Lucy and since one of our clients bought mom and will be keeping her here for training, we can't really use that name.

She is reddish in color and a filly so what about "Lady Red" or is that a bit too formal?

    Good luck and God bless,

I just wanted to mention that the cloak you have on her is totally wrong for her coloring. We redheads look better in olive tones, bronzes and golds.

Oh, and diamonds...we look really good in diamonds. :D;):D

I'd call her Roadrunner! Beep, beep.

    LOL!
The blanket was a gift. When she grows a bit and we need to buy her a new one, I'll be sure to get one with the correct tone. I'll also look into a diamond studded halter. :)

Long, long ago and in a land called Far, Far Away...... we had a couple of horses on the farm and my favourite mare gave us a filly that looked just like this one and we also could not get a name for it and it ended up being called "Horse" with a guttural "r" and it stuck. My sister did some serious show jumping and dressage with it and it was always introduced as "Horse":D
