    Default Egret At Sunset

    canon 1d MKII N 500mm f4 IS lens @ f4 1/3200 ISO 800
The Snowy Egret was very close, < 5% crop, so the rate of change of the speed to the camera was great--thus the 1/3200 shutter speed. The light was changing very fast also as the Egret walked into changing light. If things weren't happening so fast I would has decreased the shutter speed and added more dof.

Like the soft light and colors of this but the image seems to have suffered some compression artifiacts.

I know that BG by now :) Nice EXP control and perfect reflection. A head turn would have helped and there's a boo-boo from straightening on the upper right corner. TFS.

I like the DOF as is. You do need to fix the framing. I might like the snowy a bit less centered. Raised leg is a big plus.
