    “Flapping”

This young fellow was trying to fly, but was a little apprehensive in doing so. He resides in Shark Valley. He was painted with a Nikon D300s, using a Nikkor AF-S 300mm f/4D - IF-ED , with a Nikkor 1.7 T/C.

    Image Solution:
    focal length @ 510mm / exposure mode @ aperture priority / in camera matrix metering / 1/8,000sec. - f/6.7 / exposure comp @ -0.7EV / ISO @ 800 / white balance @ auto / AF - Mode @ AF - C / color space @ sRGB / lighting solution – ambient lighting / tone comp @ 0 degree / hue adjustment @ +1 degree / saturation factor @ +2 degree / support platform – hand held /

    Comments greatly appreciated...

I like the pose and habitat Gus. Good exposure and details. Might give him/her a little more breathing room:D!

Gus, I hope to see one of these in person some day! I like the captured moment of the little guy trying out the wings and the nice composition. Would only suggest that you bump up the mid-tones with a curves adjustment to give it a bit more light.
