Viera Wetlands in Florida
Medium-sized crop and levels adjust to drop the little bit of bird detail into shadow. Sunday was a lovely morning at Viera and well worth the 3:30 AM depature from Miami. :) The colors were quite strong in a narrow band of water, so the key was to position myself to take advantage of any birds that moved through that region...thankfully this Tricolored Heron flew across once and made me very happy.

Absolutely incredible Judd! This is the type of image I am striving to create myself.
No question images like this make getting out of a warm bed worth much more than the effort!
Those water droplets make for a really special silhouette shot! Gorgeous! The only thing I would try to do is clone out the black twig, blobs from the right. In any case a shot of which I wish it was mine
Everyone has pretty much said it all. It's simply a wonderful photograph. I love it! I might clone out a few of the sticks on the right, in particular the one under the birds butt.
Judd, I liked this the moment I saw the thumbnail. The arc of the water droplets that are perfectly reflected, in addition to the step of the bird make it special.
