Weeding out my files I came across this young fellow from last September in Sandy Hook. Probably didn't post it before because light wasn't quite behind me, and I cut off his virtual feet; but here it is anyway. C&C appreciated as always.

These guys are tough guys . . . Your own critique is right on. And I do think it is just a little soft.

I really like this shot. Great BG. Very nice head and wing details. The direction of the light does not bother me. I think it would be worth trying to extend the bottom to include the virtual feet.

Looks like good exposure and sharpness Bill, would have been great to get the feet in too. Like the BG with the wave coming in too.

Thank you all. Joe, I couldn't resist the challenge, so I found another frame in my files that had a bit more of the seaweed and patched it in. While I was at it I brightened up the BG a bit. Based on other images of this fellow, this should include enough for his virtual feet.

I like the composition, image and capture Bill. You have fine feather details, good color rendition, with a good head angle and sharp eye...well done...

Hard to find in the open like this. Great details all around.
    Congrats

Lots to like here BILL - the repost with the added room for the virtual feet works for me.
Techs all covered - fine image!

Sweet image Bill, like the details and pose, repost is an improvement, wish the feet were visible.

Thanks Gus, Oscar, Lance and Arash. I have a few other images with feet showing, but in those the eye is not as clear and HA not as good. So unless I want to start pasting together body parts, I'll have to settle for this. Thanks for commenting.
