I drove nearly 90 minutes on Sunday to try a sunrise shot at Nine Mile Pond in the Everglades. The conditions deteriorated as I arrived and clouds rolled in giving me a lackluster sunrise.

I did manage this dawn shot which I was able to work with.

I'm thinking of cropping more from the right.

Hi Michael, Sorry to hear you made that long drive and it didn't work out to expectations. Can't remember haw many times that happened to me. I did a few things to the image. I cropped a bit off the bottom and the right side and then applied a small amount of S/H to bring the sky up and show more detail all around....

Thanks Dave, I think that definitely improves the image. Wasn't a total loss, I met up with al and fabs and jackie and had fun photographing osprey.

    Hey Michael,
Dave's repost is an improvement and helps the image overall. It's nice to see you got together with Fabs and Jackie too!.....must have been a blast!

beautiful simplicity! Dave's repost has improved it. don't we all sometimes drive for hours only to be thwarted by the weather...:(
