    Grahame, Welcome to OOTB. Great looking flower and treatment. I like the crop idea. I would have preferred it cropped w/ the flower facing into the scene but that is just my opinion. The B&W works well here w/ the solarizing.

    Grahame, welcome!! I like the solarized B&W. It almost looks like flames rising from the center of the flower.

    agree with denise's crop suggestion, but this is unique and i still like it!!! the effect is really nice with the perfect amount of detail left!!

    I think the solarization works very well here and composition is very interesting too. Welcome to OOTB!!

    Grahame, welcome to OOTB! Very nice image - I do wish there were a bit more detail on a few of the petals (left side) but it's not a deal breaker. This is a lovely and graphic image!
