    Dear all
It was my dream to make an image in which tiger is walking at his pace and no one is there to disturb him, not many cameras ( Except mine :D ) , some nice light and habitat. After chasing stripes for so many days , I got this shot in my recent trip to Bandhavgarh. I liked this as it is but you may wish for eye contact. I will post image with eye contact later on
    7D , 300/f4, f5.6, 1/2000, ISO 500
All C & C are most welcome & much appreciated

Don't always need eye contact! You have shown the tiger in the setting you set out looking for. Those times don't happen often enough as there always seem to be more people around than we would like. Nice habitat image and well done getting the image you set out to get. TFS

Hi Harshad, I think from our dialogue you have better 'in the can'. As an image and based on your past posting I feel it's rather 'average', both in content and view point. I guess this seems rather harsh, but I think we both know where I am coming from and why I'm saying it. :)

The tiger is walking away from you, the tree in the foreground to the rhs is too dominant and for me there is too much foreground. I would also try to keep your ISO below 400. On the plus side the processing has greatly improved with the new software and the colour is spot on.

Harshad sorry to sound rather negative, but you have alawys asked me to be honest, and I have tried to be.:)

As you know Harshad, it has taken me a while to able to post an 'honest' critic, however these are only MY thoughts and I have to gauge peoples reactions before submitting. Likewise I would want other members to be honest on my posting too, as you say, only then can we learn & improve. :D

BTW I have exchanged some e-mails with Dicky too, although I gather he has been all over India, lucky person.:D

    All the best.

Hi Steve Your "honest" critique is very much appreciated and to the point. There is a big difference in pointing out things that would enhance an image to trying to find out a fault. Also pointing out what works or you like form an image is helpful to others reading the thread. Steve has consistently made these points and always have been very much appreciated. Basically the essence of what we wanted to do when the site was created.

As presented I would crop half the area form the road down, will help out. The tree in the way seems to be the biggest detracting point but sure wish this image was mine ... I have zero tigers except those in the zoo !!!!

Colors, sharpness and PP looks good here, so does noise control (even though it's only ISO 500).

That trident on the face, is this Mirchaini ? Let's think of the criss-crossing tree stumps as obstacles in the path to survival for the RB Tiger.

Harshadbhai, I like your repost with regards to colours, but I like the comp in your OP. A lovely clear view from you to the tiger, and the surrounding woods dont distract. BTW, thanks for the invite ;).
