    Default Pied-billed grebe

    Another shot from Saturday.
I wish i could have gotten more space around the bird but it was a close look.
The light water areas above the head were on the verge of being blown and i brought it back, trick was avoiding the halo effect too much.

Very sweet and sharp, love that eye. I may make the whole thing a little darker. Wish for a little more DOF but I see you had nos.s to spare :)

Excellent detail and sharpness, love the low angle and exposure is very good. Congrats

I agree great detail and sharpness. I wish you hadn't cut-off the head of the reflection. A portrait view with the whole reflection would have been great.

Thanks for the comments all, much appreciated.

I wish i hadn't cut off the reflection as well but the bird popped up into view really close to the dock i was on and it didn't respond when i told it to move out further, you know how stubborn birds can be :)

Seriously though, i plan to head out there again and see about some re-shoots with more canvas and better light, not as many grebes around as there usually are for some reason this winter.
