This is an in-camera effect. Does anybody want to take a guess at how it was made?

You are zooming either in or out on your 200-400?
Hmmm. I thought perhaps you were using an editing program with a zoom effect.
Very effective anyway. Well done.

Ditto what Gary said. I learned that from Art in Bosque back in 2006.

Hi Fabs!
Is it the use of a zoom as above ... along with a fairly slow shutter speed? Also, maybe a weak flash to help freeze the subject bird?
Using a slow shutter speed, you pressed the shutter and then ran towards the bird.:D

And here I though you were speeding towards the bird on board Hooptie Duex!
Right guess, guys. Zoom blur, from long to wide. Single point servo.
