    Natural perch in the edge of the woods behind my house.

    300mm 2.8L
    1.4 x TC
    ISO 640
    1/400 sec.
    f/6.3

    Processing with ACR and CS4. Small branch cloned out that crossed the bird's wing tips.

    I like the wintery mood, raised crest and sharpness. If it were mine I would tone down the white spot in the lower left and maybe remove the branch in the lower right.

    Very nice shot. I like the perch. If mine, I might try to "tone" down the blurry triangle just above and left of bird. Nice and sharp and good colours. Dave

    This looks pretty tack sharp Joe. I like the perch but wish the the diagonal branch/stem on the lower right wasn't there. I have been trying to get a good male cardinal for the last two weeks with no luck so congrats.
