    Default Take Off

Another osprey from Flamingo. I noticed that this one was banded. I have never seen a banded osprey before.

I notice a slight magenta cast in the sky, but not on the osprey or am I seeing things or do I need to recalibrate my monitor?

I like the takeoff pose, blurred wings give a sense of movement. Looks slightly soft, another round of usm perhaps. TFS

Sky looks fine to me, I like the sharpness on the face (not soft on my monitor). Wish for slightly faster SS for a little less wing blur. Great pose/timing.

I like the action, although agree that a bit more shutter speed may have added some detail. I also like how a bit of the perch has been left in. Dave

It was nice to share with you there. I was using a higher ISo for extra s/s. Problem was clouds and sun were constantly changing.
I remember seeing this bird in previous years.

It's very interesting to see the bands on the Osprey. Observation of banding on any bird in SW Florida is few and far between.

Nice take off pose, exposure is good, head and fanned tail are sharp I am not crazy about motion blur in the wings, I would have cranked the ISO to get more sharpness in the wings. TFS

I like the wing blur because it is unusual, especially with the perch in the frame, it adds to the sense of motion. The eye and head are sharp, so you know its wing motion. This is a bird on a mission. Well done.

    Mike,

I too like the motion blur and the nice sharp face just make the image pop!
