    The day before was beautiful, no wind and warm -the perfect day. Plan: tomorrow go up to the Sandia crest and photograph the Rosy finches. When I got there it was -15F with a forty mile a hour wind blowing, what can one say but: Such is life. I hope this photo captured the mood.

    Ah yes, when nature foils our plans!

    I like the positions of the darker birds in the frame save for the overlapping of the two in the middle. I'd probably crop from the right to get rid of the bird with the hidden face. I didn't even notice the lighter birds until I went back to look a second time.

    With the busy BG, it's hard to make the subjects really pop off the screen.
