    Default Vulture protest !!!!

Black vultures protesting at the entrance to Anhinga trail, first thing visitors see as they come in from the parking lot !!! Birds are protesting the two of their own rangers have hanging by their feet in the parking lot ... gruesome sight !!!

Since the have the two dead birds hanging, no cars have been attacked but not sure the scheme is working ..... at the time the dead birds went up the temp went down creating a fish kill which the birds are enjoying ... so after the food is gone they might return to cars !!! ... maybe what the park needs is to bring in a few tons of dead fish for the vulture and all will be well !!!!

    Comments welcome and much apreciated

That is certainly a gothic scene - dead vultures hanging from their feet and live ones displaying at the entrance! It looks like a handful of them didn't hear the director's cue to "extend wings in a menacing fashion". :D If the other Alfred (Hitchcock) were still around, there could be a movie in the works - "The Vultures"... ;) Really cool capture!!

Whoa! That's a scary sight. :) Are you guys safe there at all? :) If they like black, maybe you can start feeding them all the Nikon gear. :D

I think they are about to take over the place and hope they won't retaliate in kind. :)

I know it does sound sort of gross, but hey had to do something.
The vultures had devalued the usage of the place dramatically.

They were everywhere the last time I went, an employee was trying to run
them away with a broom and they didn't even move.
