    Default Red-winged Blackbird

I was able to capture this display when a male RwBB paused for a moment at a local marsh a few days ago.

Very nice moment. The BG is good, but I think a little noisy. Otherwise good shot.

Pleasing BG Edward, however the reds are too hot here and need toning down and can see some cloning marks/shadows around the lower part of the outstretched wing.

    Ed:

I really like the one footed pose ,splayed primaries.

As Marc mentioned, the reds are toast. There is no chance to recover useful detail in the jpeg in the reds.
Perhaps if you reconverted the raw file, but I am thinking probably not.

You probably already do this, but I always shoot with all three channels displayed in the histogram on the camera, so I can see if I am clipping a particular channel, usually red.

    Cheers

Nice capture on this cool RWBB.
I could shoot these birds all day long & not grow tired of them!
