Default Tufted Coquette (Trinidad and Tobago)

As most of you know I am a huge fan of hummingbirds. This past week I have been visiting Trinidad and Tobago – “The land of the Hummingbirds”. My absolute top target for the trip was the Tufted Coquette.

As you can imagine I was absolutely thrilled to get this tiny little fella to pose for me :D

Hope you enjoy this bird as much as I did.

    Cheers!

Awesome bird. The most spectacular hummingbird I've seen in any picture!
Great shot. Wonderful light, colors, composition and sharpness.

Great, great image. This species is amazing. The BG, flash work, and exposure are perfect. I just wish the perch was all in focus.

    Glenn,
This is just spectacular! I can't believe anything like this even exists in the humming bird world. Very nice complementary colors and sharpness where it counts. Great BG too! Makes our Rufous and Annas up here look a bit humdrum.

    Steve
