As most of you know I am a huge fan of hummingbirds. This past week I have been visiting Trinidad and Tobago – “The land of the Hummingbirds”. My absolute top target for the trip was the Tufted Coquette.
As you can imagine I was absolutely thrilled to get this tiny little fella to pose for me :D
Hope you enjoy this bird as much as I did.
Cheers!

Wow and wow...I am dropping my chin. What a bird. Amazing colors, nice pose and BG. You are making me real jealous, Glenn. I saw your website too. Amazing. Big congrats.
Glenn....this is waaaaay up there man. The DOF is perfect.....diverts all attention to the gorgeous head-and-neck details. must say this is on of your best shots. Huge congrats. You are the master of fill flash.
Hola Glenn!
I am glad to hear about your trip to Trinidad, it sounds like you had lots of fun. What a way to celebrate! lovely species and composition. Congrats.
Glenn,
This is just spectacular! I can't believe anything like this even exists in the humming bird world. Very nice complementary colors and sharpness where it counts. Great BG too! Makes our Rufous and Annas up here look a bit humdrum.
