    Default Same Dunlin, another frame

Same bird as the Dunlin posted yesterday, but this one a profile shot. On this one I did very little processing, trying to avoid the coarse plumage, halo and oversharpened eye some noticed in yesterday's. Nothing done in RAW Capture (I usually at least boost Clarity before saving to TIFF.) Made minor levels adjustments in TIFF, NR and slight saturation boost on BG, cleaned up bill. Three passes of USM on jpeg (bird only) as follows: 125/0.4/0; 100/0.2/0; 70/0.2,0). No extra sharpening of eye. I wonder if this one looks better to everyone? Sorry about the missing feet. C&C welcome and appreciated.

I didn't really concentrate on the other image, but this looks nice to me. Love the rust colored feathers showing on his back. Sharpness looks natural to me, and as for the feet, well, I know that they are there. Wouldn't mind seeing a bit more of the rock, if you have it.

Fantastic shot of this wader. I love Dunlins!
Great sharpness, light and BG. Nothing not to like here.

Bill, Nice details and the sharpness looks good. I do like to see the feet-but... Maybe a bit more rock as noted by Grace. I do like the background water color.

While this is a lovely image, I prefer the other one for the HA. The bird seems to be slightly looking away here. I would also like to see the feet. Nice BG, exposure, and low angle.

A nice pose, good light, and a clean background, Bill. A little more room on the bottom would be an improvement, IMO, and seeing the feet would be even better. :) To my eye, the plumage appears a little oversharpened.
