    Default Simple Mountain Watercolor

    Hi Folks:

Took this photo at about 5:00 PM yesterday from our garden, 15 miles away as the crow flies. Took it into CS4, cropped, sized, blak & white points in curves.

Then I oped it in Fotosketcher (Free), selected oil paint, heavy texture, frame (default) and the program did all the painting.

Mount Wrightson is about 9500' and Gina climbs it every year, not bad for a young 74 :)

    CC's invited and appreciated.

That seriously looks like someone painted it. I love the play of light flashing through the mountains - just wish the sky had that same detail. I wonder if a little more purple to the gray of the sky might blend it in better with the mountain?

Tell Gina she's got me licked in the climbing department!

I'm really enjoying photosketcher, but haven't used the texture feature myself yet.. a dynamic/minimal scene and I like how you retained the play of light/shadow Gus. Well done :)

    Nice image and application, Gus.

Like the painted effect. Might revise the font used for the title, but ...

    Your image ... your vision.
