    Default Sanderling on the run

Another one from my new year's visit to Galveston beach. He/ She was running quite fast. But I did not want to compromise on exposure and ISO. Hope it turned out well. Are the whites too white?

    40D. 400f5.6 at f/6.3. iso 320. 1/1600.

    All C&C welcome.

    Kaustubh:

Like the low angle, slight blur of foot implying motion, exposure looks good.
I might sharpen the eye and bill one more pass.

    Cheers

Kaustubh, the whites look spot on, on my monitor. Super low angle, and I like the raised foot showing movement. With a 40D, you can push the ISO much higher. With my 50D, Im comfortable at ISO 800.

Nice low angle, exposure and sharpness look good to me too. I think it can benefit from some boost in colour saturation.

Agree with the above posts; I truly love the low angle - its killer with the leg/foot up.

Running pose makes it for me, whites look great. I know what you mean about the 40D I hate going over 400 with it.

Great shot. Running pose is great. I like the low angle. Great light. I agree with Randy one sharpening eye and bill a little bit more.

With the 40D you can normally go up to ISO 800 with no problems.

I like that the whites are white. Plenty of detail. I would tone down the highlights on the bill. Beautiful IMO.
