    Default LR 2/6 Selective Sharpening???

Good Morning: Does LR 2.6 have the capability of selective sharpening.( if so, can someone point me in the right direction) I have photoshop CS4 on order ,but it hasn't arrived yet. Also is it possible to selective change certain areas independently of each other? I believe photoshop can, at least i hope so. I'm currently reading Scott Kelby CS4 book, Excellent book!!!
    Thks don

Yes. Click on the local adjustment tool (in Develop module on the right just under the histogram). There you will see the ability to apply local adjustments to exposure, brightness, contrast, saturation, clarity, and/or sharpness.

Thks, i can't find what you are refering to, perhaps a bit more explanation if you can. To clarify, im asking if i can sharpen an area independent of another, and then go sharpen another area. Seems that even thougn i sharpen the eye, by selecting , other parts also sharpen. Also; i'd like to lighten the midtones only in an image, and not effest the remainder of the images expossure; is this possible? Tks for any help here. Don

Indeed, you can make as many local adjustments as you like with each adjusting any combination of the attributes I mentioned.

Here (with a bit of luck) is a link where you should find a video showing how. Not specifically about sharpening but you will see how to do it.
