    This looks like a very beautiful bird, with striking plumage. I like the ground, and separation of BG. Unfortunately the light angle was from the wrong side. Either changing your position to have the sun behind you (if possible and without spooking the bird of course), or LOTS of flash would have helped you here. Seems to be a slight greenish cast?

    Hi Niranjan, I really like this backlit image. The fact that it was done against a dark background makes it work for me. I would not like flash on it, there is enough detail in the darks IMO. It could be a tad sharper though.

    Niranjan, considering the light, i actually like how all the details in the back plumage have come out. But I am a little surpsied at the noise level at iso 400. Did you lighten it a lot during raw conversion? It might be worth it to go back to the RAW file and reprocess it...Since there aren't a lot of details in the black areas, it might look better a tad less lightened.

    I like the backlight too.. Thanks for sharing the species. Work another run at post I think.
