Lovely habitat image Saby, with a good low angle & lighting with the Tiger well placed in the frame.

Very very nice. Excellent situation and location.
Where you was ?
Hi Sabyasachi
It's great to see these animals in their habitat, so often we all fall into that trap of the tight, cropped image, but I am slowly learning that in fact to shoot with a wider angle gives sometimes more substance and content to the image. I like the placement of the tiger but feel perhaps a pano crop might enhance the image, avoiding the clutter of the branches in the top left. Also a tad more in curves, exposure & contrast just gives it the edge IMHO (????????). It's probably not ideal, as I am away & using the laptop, but hopefully this might give you a rough idea of where I am going?
I am very envious of you & HB with these images;)

Post Production: It’s ALL about what you do with the tools and not, which brand of tool you use.
Lovely image Saby.....I prefer steves version ,am dying to find out if you got the next couple of frames as he entered the water
Nice image with good placement of tiger. Steves repost looks good. I know from your previous posts that you lean a bit more towards a milder contrast image than the repost, hence the two versions. Different strokes:).
Either way you go it is a fine image. TFS

Sabya, Good eye contact, and I like the angle of capture. Colours look good, and another wish to see the next couple of frames.
don't know for how long i'll dream a shot like that, love this cat, just a little far from here... :)
The line of green grass lends itself well to a pano crop but I also like the original. I like the parallel lines created by the stumps and the tiger's tail. The branches reaching down above the tiger remind me of lightning, and together with the tiger's alert look, make me think power.
I like the image. The wider version appeals to me more.
Great to see a shot of a wild tiger in its habitat. Lovely image. I can't make up my mind on which version I like best.:)
I think the crop helps, but I like the softer tones of the original. Perhaps something in between?
Lovely in the environment image, and one can see this is no zoo tiger! The smaller crop works well.
Dear All,
Thanks for your comments. Appreciated.
Steve,
Thanks a lot for taking the time to repost.
Marc,
I normally try to maintain the level of contrast as I remember seeing it.
Giova,
This was in Bandhavgarh in the rajbehera grasslands.
